Kunal Shah on productivity, life hacks and how India can become a successful nation Kunal Shah is the founder of CRED. He is a fierce learner and has added layers of knowledge through his observation of the world and people. Here are few takeaways where he appeared on a podcast, on productivity and how India will become the superpower of the world. Try to meet more smart people to become smarter. Good people who want to learn all the time will naturally surround themselves with other people who want to learn all the time and that group compounds much faster. Our country will move forward where more people will take risks with their careers. More people taking risks with their careers will result in them creating careers for other people who don't want to take risks. People who keep complaining about work-life balance either have a shitty life or a shitty job. Watching content, again and again, will not improve your life, taking actions will. Understand the value of time ...
Know about one of the Great Women Achievers
of INDIA….. Mrs. Sudha Murthy

Sudha Murthy, she is an Indian teacher, computer engineer and an author in English and Kannada (regional language in India). She is the chairperson of Infosys Foundation and wife of Narayan Murthy, founder of Infosys, an Indian Multinational Company. She is humble, kind hearted and down to the Earth person, who is into helping people, mainly villagers, backward classes, improve their lives. All these activities she does, is with the help of Infosys Foundation.
She is also into the activity of
reviving old temples temples of India, by writing /describing about them in the
form of newspaper articles. Most of her articles are in Kannada language. She
reads a lot…..she has a library of knowledge in her!!
Childhood days and student life
Right from her childhood, she was
a brilliant and bright student. She stood well at her academics. She was and is
an avid reader and also writes books that give an important message to the
society and country in large. Some of her books are Mahashweta, The Old Man and His God: Discovering
the Spirit of India, Three Thousand Stitches etc.,
While she was a student and in the
starting years of her carrer, she had to face a lot of difficulties. During her
days, very few girls had the opportunity to get access to the education. While
she started her study in engineering college, it was found that, among 600
students, she was the only girl and the rest 599 were boys. There was no access
to washroom for girls, as it had majority of men including teachers and other
staff and during those times, a girl studying engineering was hardly seen in India.
It was such a painful period but amidst all such difficulties, she came out
with flying colours.
When she was doing her M. tech in computer science at Indian
Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore, India, one day she came across a notice
on notice board that TELCO(TATA Engg. And Locomotive Company) was hiring young
graduates and interested students can apply for it….and below that, it was
written ‘only men can apply’. Sudha was annoyed and decided to write a letter
to JRD Tata seeking justice for women to take up the opportunity. When JRD Tata
received the letter, he was displeased with his people and she was given the
permission to attend the interview. With her great caliber and skills, she finally became
the first female engineer to be hired at India’s largest auto manufacturer,
TELCO.
Since the article has been quite lengthy, it has been divided into 2 parts. The next part of her story is really interesting and know why she had to quit her job afterwards...till then stay tuned!!
