3 USEFUL TIPS TO STAY ‘’CURIOUS’’

3    USEFUL TIPS TO STAY ‘’CURIOUS’’

1.RESEARCH.

The most important thing to do is to go as deep as you can in the subject/topic you are interested in. Some of you now don’t like reading at all, so what you can do is
  • Start knowing more about the thing that you are really passionate about. This is the best way to go - you won’t get distracted or lose interest because this is what you want to be or your future to look like.
  •  If you are someone who want to get the habit of reading, then start by reading newspapers, journals etc.,

Researching more about something can add to your knowledge database. Then, after you develop this habit you will start getting interest in knowing about other things also. You can learn about anything,  either by reading books or on the internet where you can get access to anything.

2.EXPERIMENTING THINGS

After reading a lot of literature it’s time to experiment. This is something that we knew as a child, when we tried to put our hands in hot water tub and felt the intensity of hotness!  But as we grow, we stop experimenting and start accepting things how they are and we don’t question of why and how they exist. This leads to decrease in curiosity level in us.

By experimenting, you will try to understand the concept in your own way and in a much clearer way and it also remains firm in your mind. So, try taking a dig at everything  and you won’t regret about it in the future. Now there are few things which you can’t experiment like Quantum Mechanics, which is really counter-intuitive. For such things you can follow the below tip.

3.DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK ‘’SILLY’’ QUESTIONS

Now, this is something which we all try to avoid and you think that that by asking silly questions, you might become the laughing stock among your friends. But, hold on, what is your ‘’MOTIVE’’ behind this – firstly, you want to know how the thing works or trying to figure out the fundamentals on which a concept is being built.

Secondly, you don’t want that question to remain in your mind and you want that to get clarified.

Thirdly and most important is that, you want that “CURIOSITY” quality get installed in ”YOU”.

So,these were few tips which are quiet basic but hardly anybody follows it.Try to gain as much knowledge;experiment and keeping asking questions!!

Thinking from First Principles - The Physics framework of thinking !! 🔥

First Principles - The Physics framework of thinking!!          "The Earth is flat". This is what people thought, because they could see people, vehicles, all moving in the horizontal direction, until science came and proved it wrong. Like this, in our day to day life, we start assuming things  to be true, that we observe or what people tell us, without thinking whether it is actually true or appearing to be. So how do we know the actual fact? Can we change the way we think? YES... we need to adopt the "First Principles Thinking" method. What is First Principles Thinking?   Why should we use it?         The first time I heard this was from SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk. First principles thinking  is a kind of physics way of looking at the world. It is basically boiling things down to the fundamental truths, that you know are true and reasoning from up there. In mathematics, it is known as an axiom. Normally, what people do i...

Learning the way to learn | How to learn anything ?

Learning the way to learn | How to learn anything?   Many of us say that we know or have knowledge, whenever we are asked about the topic we are familiar with. But does that actually mean you have understood it well enough ? Hmm…           If a friend of yours, comes and asks you to explain about something, you might have told him what you know about the topic but couldn't have explained it clearly or you probably might have confused him even more…  Why does that happen ?  what is it indicating ? Is it indicating the lack of understanding about the topic in us ?   If you want to master something, teach it.                                                                          -Richard Feynman      The Feynman tec...
