Kunal Shah on productivity, life hacks and how India can become a successful nation 🔥🔥

Kunal Shah on productivity, life hacks and how India can become a successful nation Kunal Shah is the founder of CRED. He is a fierce learner and has added layers of knowledge through his observation of the world and people. Here are few takeaways where he appeared on a podcast, on productivity and how India will become the superpower of the world. Try to meet more smart people to become smarter. Good people who want to learn all the time will naturally surround themselves with other people who want to learn all the time and that group compounds much faster. Our country will move forward where more people will take risks with their careers. More people taking risks with their careers will result in them creating careers for other people who don't want to take risks.  People who keep complaining about work-life balance either have a shitty life or a shitty job. Watching content, again and again, will not improve your life, taking actions will. Understand the value of time ...

This is why
trees will help fight climate change | Analysis

"TREES"-the benefits of it is a long list right from providing clean air, food and medicines to stabilizing the soil to avoid erosion, it's an important resource to human life.

In this article, we'll know how trees are going to play a huge difference in combating climate change.

Why importantly trees?

Trees live in contact with many microorganisms in soil. These include fungi that trees need to survive. When trees capture carbon from the atmosphere, much of that carbon enters the soil to feed these microorganisms which in turn help in building healthy soil that supports life and stores carbon for a long time. One of the major compounds responsible for climate change is carbon-di-oxide. By increasing the green cover, more carbon-di-oxide will be captured and thereby reducing it's amount in nature and hence fighting climate change.

The Reality...

Based on the research carried out by an acclaimed ecologist Tom Crowther, Chief scientific adviser to United Nations Trillion Tree Campaign; says the number of trees on Earth has shown a steep decrease since the start of civilization for various reasons and demands by  humans. The research also found that we are currently losing about 10 billion trees every year and thus speeding climate change and biodiversity loss.

The Impact...

The research also says that there is room for about 1 trillion new trees in degraded regions of the world, that we are not currently using for agricultural or urban land. If we restored those places, we could capture 100-200 gigatons of carbon from atmosphere over rest of the century and will have huge impact in restoring the lost beauty of nature.

Restoration of  ecosystems can bring countless economic benefits because trees enhance soil fertility and water storage that promotes the growth of other crops.

By increasing the green cover, not only we will attain equilibrium in the ecosystem but also we will be able to reconnect with nature. We know that it's a long battle to combat climate change. But with patience and working towards achieving it with single minded devotion, we will be able to restore and enhance the beauty of our planet-"Mother Earth".

Learning the way to learn | How to learn anything ?

Learning the way to learn | How to learn anything?   Many of us say that we know or have knowledge, whenever we are asked about the topic we are familiar with. But does that actually mean you have understood it well enough ? Hmm…           If a friend of yours, comes and asks you to explain about something, you might have told him what you know about the topic but couldn't have explained it clearly or you probably might have confused him even more…  Why does that happen ?  what is it indicating ? Is it indicating the lack of understanding about the topic in us ?   If you want to master something, teach it.                                                                          -Richard Feynman      The Feynman tec...

Why does a football trace a curved path into the net, when kicked?

Why does a football trace a curved path into the net, when kicked?             You might have seen football players, like the most famous Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi scoring some crazy and unbelievable goals. Usually, when they go for a free kick, you see that the path traced by the football is curved rather than straight or a linear path. Footballers use this technique to score incredible goals. Now let’s try to know the science behind it. The reason why football traces a curved path is due to an observable phenomenon called the  " MAGNUS EFFECT" , described first by German physicist Heinrich Gustav Magnus. This is a phenomenon observed not just in football but also in many other sports as well.               Let us try to understand it.         When the football is kicked, it starts moving forward and spins around its axis and the air flow provides opposition to th...
